Butterfly designs are often found on Metis and Indigenous beadwork, they are an important cultural symbol to many groups. Orange & Black for the Monarch Butterfly with Blue & Black for the Blue Butterfly. The wings are on wire and couched down in the style of stumpwork on broadcloth backing. The wings are worked in sequins and beads.
