Unfortunately, due to personal reasons, Hanny Newton will no longer be able to teach at this event. We extend our best wishes to Hanny in her future endeavors and look forward to collaborating with her again in the future.

While this may be disappointing news, the Seminar committee, in collaboration with Hanny, has worked diligently to find a replacement teacher who can truly capture the spirit of this class and still deliver a unique offering to you. We are thrilled to announce that Rebecca Offredi, recommended by both Hanny and the Royal School of Needlework, will be taking over the teaching duties.

Rebecca is an internationally acclaimed, multi-award-winning freelance embroidery artist and designer. With experience in Fashion, Interiors, and Textile Art, she has worked with prestigious brands like Alexander McQueen and Burberry among other fashion houses.

A graduate of the Royal School of Needlework, she specializes in Goldwork, Tambour, and Stumpwork embroidery, creating a signature blend of 3D and experimental gold and stumpwork techniques.

Rebecca is excited to introduce her unique approach to creative goldwork and will be teaching students of all skill levels. We, as a committee, are excited to welcome her as a teacher to Seminar 2025.

The spirit of the original class will be maintained and students will still come away with samples of different goldwork techniques.  Rebecca will share her approach to design and the use of this material in 3D embroidery.  More photos of sample examples will be added later.
